Fallen Leaf Campground
Fallen Leaf Campground is located on the south end of beautiful Lake Tahoe, approximately one-quarter mile north of Fallen Leaf Lake off of Highway 89. The campground is typically open beginning in mid-May through mid-October.
Nestled among towering native pine trees, this campground offers a variety of nearby recreational activities. Taylor Creek Visitor Center is directly across Highway 89 and offers interpretive programs, guided walks on the Rainbow Trail and hosts the popular Stream Profile Chamber.
Also nearby are Pope and Baldwin Beaches for water activities, the Tallac Historic Site with tours of its historic buildings and grounds, the paved Pope-Baldwin Bike Path that runs approximately three miles along Highway 89 and can be used to access the sites listed above.
Excellent day hiking and backpacking in Desolation Wilderness via the Glen Alpine or Mt. Tallac trailheads are also nearby. Standing iron grills and fire rings are available at all sites.

Fallen Leaf Lake Campground is located on the south side of Lake Tahoe, approximately three miles north of the "Y" (the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 89) near South Lake Tahoe. The campground entrance can be accessed by turning off Highway 89 onto Fallen Leaf Lake Road.
