Bedford, May 20, 2025 — Hoosier National Forest staff and concessionaire BA Services are ready to welcome an influx of visitors starting this holiday weekend. We want to provide the most up to date information related to recreation sites for your planning purposes. The safety and enjoyment of our visitors is our top priority.
Important status information and hours are provided below:
- Visitor services at our Bedford and Tell City offices are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. local time.
- Be aware that many trails still have downed trees. Staff is clearing them as quickly as they can.
- Mano Point, Peninsula Trail and Deam Wilderness designated campsites 12 and 21 remain closed until further notice.
- Programming will be available on Saturday, May 24 at Hardin Ridge and Indian-Celina Recreation Areas. Check our website for details.
