The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests offer a variety of job opportunities that range from student interns to full-time and seasonal employees, as well as volunteer programs that help accomplish the mission of caring for the nation’s public land and serving people. Duties vary widely with opportunities for people with different types of skills and abilities. Some jobs require scientific knowledge such as wildlife biology, archeology, hydrology, geology, ecology, administrative and computer technologies. Other positions just require a spirit of cooperation and a willingness and ability to learn on the job.
